Wizbots after school Imagineering Labs ensure kids of all abilities can be challenged and successful while advancing their powers of innovation. Each season, kids attend the Lab once a week, for 90 minutes at a time.
Wizbots combines LEGO® robotics and Java programming with a vast array of unique projects, materials and choices to engage students in product design, tech challenges, team games, and open-ended creativity. Our Lab is instantly engaging, social, and all about fun! Our students:
- LEARN & DEVELOP building, programming, engineering, and design skills,
- ARE CHALLENGED to use their imagination, to problem-solve, and to try new things,
- GAIN CONFIDENCE as they collaborate, accomplish goals, and make new friends, and
- ARE INSPIRED to learn more about robotics and technology.
New and returning students are also always doing something new to move forward and challenge their inventive minds. And, new to all students this fall: We will be introducing our new “Wizbench,” our Java-based robot programming work-bench that we have developed especially for kids. We plan to integrate the Wizbench into our after school Labs in October. We are very excited at this new initiative because it puts one of the world’s most popular and powerful programming languages in the hands of kids and provides a much better programming experience.
