WOstaff

Dear SMART-E White Oaks Parents,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! We are so excited to have you and your children here at SMART-E! We’ve added on a new staff member this year here at White Oaks so we wanted to give a little background on who we all are. Here is a little bit about us:

Tracy Mittelstadt
Program Coordinator

I began working with SMART-E in 2014 and I worked for Woodside Parent’s Nursery School for over 5 years through high school and college. I received my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University in 2012. Through getting my degree in Criminal Justice I realized how important education is and that is why I chose to work with kids. I enjoy baking, decorating, crafts and spending time with family and friends.

Lucy Pham
Assistant Program Coordinator

I joined the SMART-E program as the Assistant Program Coordinator in Fall 2017. I’ve tutored and mentored math from 2012-2013 and worked as an after school teacher in Oakland in 2013. In 2014, I started as a pre-school teacher in Lafayette, then moved over to CCLC Shores in Redwood City and taught as a lead pre-school teacher for almost 3 years. I graduated from CSU East Bay with a Bachelors in Human Development. I enjoy traveling, hikes, cooking, and reading in my spare time.

John Schwabunnamed-4
Program Aide

I have worked with youth for 14 years. I started off working with the San Mateo Foster City School District. I came to the San Carlos School District to work with SMART-E in 2015. In the summer time, I teach archery with the Boy Scouts of America and have done that for 7 years. In my spare time I enjoy barbecuing, boating and spending time with friends and family.

Monthly Theme:

This month at SMART-E is Time Travel/Community. We will all be getting to know each other, who/what our community is, how we can help people in our community and traveling back in time!

Some Reminders:

-Please contact us at smartewo@scsdk8.org or 650-508-8221 if your child is signed up for care and will not be attending.

-Send your child with a water bottle each day.

-If your child has severe allergies or is a picky eater please send them with a snack from home to eat after school. We provide a light snack daily.

-If someone else will be picking up your child please email or call us so we are able to release your child.

We look forward to a great year at SMART-E! Please email or call us with any questions!

Thank you,

The SMART-E White Oaks Team
