Want to spark your child’s creativity, increase problem solving skills and promote brain growth? Then join the Brittan Acres chess club that is now being offered through Advantage Chess taught by Dennis Myers, MSW.

About Advantage Chess Instructor:
Dennis Myers is a local chess coach. He has taught chess in schools and privately for over 16 years. Dennis earned an USCF Expert rating during his 41 years of playing experience. Playing chess fosters benefits that include problem-solving and strategy. Lesser known appeals are life-long skills that are transferable to daily life, such as logic and a unique creative process in each player. In December 2015, Dennis Myers received a Proclamation from the City of Belmont for his service in providing chess to the city’s youth.

Boards and sets are provided. Scholarships are available to eligible families.

Session Length: 8 weeks

Participant Grade Range: 1st-4th grades.

Class Maximum: 17 students

Fees: $140/student

SMART-E Refund Policy: Cancellations and refunds prior to March 13, 2017 are subject to a $25 administrative fee.  No refunds on or after March 13, 2017.
