Mindfulness at Arroyo and Central Middle School-NOTE: this class is cancelled for Fall 2017
Classes begin Wednesday, September 20, 2017
Do you wish you could teach your child how to better cope with stress, improve attention, or regulate her/his emotions? The practice of mindfulness helps regulate the nervous system and offers life skills to navigate the world in a more balanced and non-reactive way.
Our classes are based on the Mindful Schools curriculum and we have incorporated movement, games, and other fun activities. We show students simple mindfulness concepts that create short moments of awareness and can be practiced anytime. In our small groups, we invite them to explore how they want to be with themselves and one another. And we incorporate new, fun, creative games and activities every time.
Our intention for our classes is to connect with each student and spark curiosity of self and trust of living in this world.
